AVON RIVER BANKS
Strengthening Needed
Some urgent repairs and strengthening work to training walls and river banks in the lower reaches of the Avon had been found necessary when Drainage Board and City Council engineers made an inspection recently, the works committee told the board last evening. It listed the repairs needed at the left bank upstream from the Pages road bridge, both banks downstream from the bridge, the right bank opposite the power-boat club, the right bank next to the main stormwater outfall from Bexley road and the left bank next to the bend in Kibblewhite street
