New Work By Stravinsky (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) CHICAGO, July 20. Igor Stravinsky has completed his “Elegy for John F. Kennedy” and the work will have its premiere in Berlin in September. Stravinsky finished the choral elegy in May. A private performance at that time was given in Los Angeles before a musical society and personal friends of Stravinsky. The elegy is a choral work for solo voices and instruments. It is based on a poem by W. H. Auden, and includes seven poems in the Japanese style of metre.
