FOUR HOUSES SOLD

A bungalow on a section of 28.4 perches at 2 Straven terrace, Riccarton, ’ was sold for £3900 at public auction yesterday. -.The property was offered on account of the estate of Mrs M. P. Porter byMr J. Dyer.

The opening bid was £3500, There were three bids of £lOO, and two of £5O. . The bungalow has two bedrooms, sunroom, hall, lounge, living room, kitchenette, bathroom,. and laundry. Outbuildings include a double garage and a shed.

Offered on account of the estate of A. R. Blank, two self-contained fiats in a house at 375 Worcester street were sold for £2950. The auctioneer was Mr Ray Simes. One flat has two bedrooms, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom. The other has one bedroom, living room, kitchenette,’ and bathroom. Outbuildings on the section of 36 perches, zoned residential B, include a garage. The initial bid was £2500. There were four bids of £lOO, and one of £5O.

A house with 20 acres of freehold land on the main Christchurch-Akaroa highway at Halswell has been sold by private treaty by the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand. Ltd. The property was passed in at £8350 when offered at auction on Friday. A house at 181 Knowles street has been sold by private treaty by Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. The property was passed in when offered at auction last week. Passed In Shops, offices, and a house at 224, 226, 228, and 230 Kilmore street and 362 Barbadoes street were passed in at £9200 at public auction yesterday. The properties were offered by Livingstone and Company, acting in conjunction with Ford and Hadfield, Ltd. Portion of the section of more than 47 perches is zoned commercial A, the remainder being residential B.

Four self-contained fiats in a roughcast house at 44 Ranfurly street, St. Albans, were passed in at £4BOO. The auctioneer was Mr J. Dyer.

Each flat has a bedroom, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom. Three flats are furnished.

The flats, on a quarter-acre section zoned residential B, return £845 a year. The rates are' £46 3s Bd.
