Guerrillas Kill 57

Indonesian guerrillas along the Borneo border have killed 57 British troops and wounded 12 others since the abortive summit conference last month, said the official Antara News Agency. The agency, quoting the Indonesian East Borneo military command, said that 31 others were missing. The agency said fierce clashes occurred at the Tabang and Lumbus areas, near Sabah, Malaysian North Borneo, where a British helicopter had been shot down. Two guerrillas were wounded. Twenty-six Chinese from Brunei have joined the guerrillas, Antara added.
