BROKE INTO METERS

CV.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 19. Thieves smashed 10 parking meters in Invercargill on Friday night and removed coin boxes containing nearly £3O in 3d and 6d pieces. About £lOO damage was done to the meters. It is thought a pinch bar and a hammer were used. This is the second time in two months that the meters have been raided. Last time it cost the City Council about £l2 to repair each meter.
