Fewer Radio Licences

GV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 19. The number of radio licences on issue stood at 616,470 at March 31, 1964, says the annual report of the New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation. This was an increase of 2247 over the previous year. “In spite of the Impact of television on all other media, radio advertising continued to rise,” the report- said, “but at slower rate than before.” Total radio advertising revenue totalled £2,150,579, an increase of £11,201 over that of the previous year.
