CAR LEAVES ROAD

Two Injured Two persons were injured when a car going south on the Main South road ran off the road just south of the Selwyn bridge about 6.30 p.m. on Saturday. Winnie Baker, of 12 Mars street, Burnham, suffered head injuries and multiple lacerations. Hokowai Rotorangi, of Burnham Military Camp, suffered head injuries and abrasions. They were both admitted to Christchurch Hospital. The car was driven by William Tawani, of Burnham Camp.

Car Rolls Over.—When a car rolled over on the Main North road near the Styx bridge about 2 a.m. on Saturday, John O’Rourke, of 129 Styx Mill road, suffered head and leg injuries. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. His condition was reported last evening as satisfactory. Motor-cyclist Hurt.—Leg injuries were suffered by Colin Walsh, of 22 Sumner street, when a car and a motorcycle collided at the corner of Lincoln road and Lyttel-. ton street, about 4.45 p.m. on Saturday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital. Cyclist Injured.—Lynette Donald, of 196 Grahams road, suffered leg injuries when 'her cycle and a trailer towed by a ear collided at the corner of Cranbrook and Kendall avenues on Saturday. She was treated at the Christchurch Hospital. Arm Injuries.—After a car and a motor-cycle collided on the Taylors Mistake road yesterday afternoon Dermot Coleman, of Rolleston avenue, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from arm injuries.
