Appointments By Board
Six head teachers were appointed on Friday by the Canterbury Education Board. They are Mr I. T. Smith (Cannington), Miss C. U. Langston (Clandeboye), Mr C. B. Moore (Kumara), Mr J. M. Fitzsimmons (Ladbrooks), and Mr C. I. McKay (Redcliffs). Mr J. F. Devonshire was appointed sole-teacher at Le Bons Bay. Other appointments were: First assistant masters: Mr R. E., Porteous (Halswell); Mr J. G. Reid (Spreydon).
Senior assistant mistresses: Mrs C. M. O’Connor (Northcote), Miss F. G. Salisbury (Timaru South). Assistant masters: Mr D. L. Ching (Addington): Mr A. J. Scrimgeour (Fendalton); Mr H. M. Hobden (Kaikoura D.H.S.); Mr P. N. White (Papanui); Mr B. M. Collins (Sheffield); Mr K. S. Morgan (St. Martins); Assistant mistresses: Mrs Y. J. Hundleby (Central New Brighton); Miss L. W. Moore (Heaton Normal Intermediate): Mrs M. D. Rapson (Kaiapoi North); Miss J. K. Llewellyn (Lismore); Miss F. H. Hendry (Lyndhurst); Miss J. A. Lockerbie (Lyttelton Main); Mrs M. J.
