The eleventh International Student Conference, which has been meeting in .Christchurch for 10 days, will end today. Most of the business was concluded yesterday when the plenary session of the conference dealt with the last of many resolutions put forward by commissions which worked last week-end. Today the new supervising committee will meet for the first time and elect a new secretariat. After that the conference will officially end, and the delegates prepare to return to their countries, many staying in New Zealand for a few days’ sight-seeing first. The conference chairman (Mr W. Savage) said yesterday that the conference had been the most successful yet held, and relations throughout had been amicable. The retiring administrative secretary (Mr J. S. Singh) said the most important achievement was the adoption of a new charter, which made the conference a permanent organisation with a more powerful secretariat The president of the New Zealand University Students’ Association (Mr M.
