Southland TV Repeater

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 1. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation has accepted a tender for the construction of a television transmitter building to house the repeater station planned for Hedgehope, Southland. The repeater station will provide a primary television coverage to Southland by relaying programmes from Dunedin. It is expected the successful tenderer, the Gore Construction Company, will begin work on the building later this month. The building should be completed late in September. ,
