FILMING OF RACES
£lOOO A Year For CJ.C
The filming of races was favoured by the committee, but the cost had held back a final decision—it would be about £lOOO a year, the chairman (Mr G. H. Grigg) said at the annual meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club yesterday. There had been discussions with the Christchurch Metropolitan Trotting Club on a sharing of the costs involved, be said to Mr C. L. Austin. “I agree that if it is at all possible we should have it,” he said. “Oh no," he replied, when Mr Austin asked whether the filming of races would not be started within the new year or two.
