Milburn had earlier retired ill with tensilities after making six. Earlier, B. Reynolds and A. Lightfoot had carried their overnight partnership of S 3 to 70 on a lifeless pitch before a ball from G. D. McKenzie came quickly off the pitch to have Reynolds lbw.
