Table Tennis Match Against Otago
The Canterbury Table Tennis Association selectors (Messrs A. B. McCallum, R. G. Hart, and T. Poynton) have named the following players to play against Otago in Dunedin on Saturday. Men. —J. Armstrong (Eagles, captain), T. R. D. Flint (Seiwyn), V. N. Brightwell (Seiwyn) and N. B. Radford (Wallabies).
Women.—Miss F. Inglis (Star), Mrs P. Purdon (Selwyn), Mrs T. May (Selwyn, captain), and Mrs M. J. Shadbolt (Eagles). Junior Boys.—P. J. Ives (Eagles, captain), G. Saunders (Hoon Hay), R. J. Sanderson (Selwyn), and P. Roseingrave (Dallington). Junior Girls.—Miss M. Row (Aces), and Miss J, Fowke (Celtic).
The second round of the senior table tennis competitions begins tonight with some changes having been made to teams and their personnel. The leaders of the A Reserve grade, Avonside, having defeated the A grade team, Star, in the promotion and relegation match held last week, will continue the competition in the senior grade.
