Summer Regent Scratched (NZ. Pres* Assn—Coparipht) BRISBANE, June 28. The New Zealand-bred Summer Regent has been withdrawn from the Doomben Cup, the Brisbane “Courier Mail” reported this evening. The “Courier Mafl” said Summer Regent’s failure in yesterday’s TattersalFs Cup convinced his connexions that he needs a spell. Summer Regent, which was second favourite for the Doomben Cup, finished ninth in the Tattersall’s Cup. The jockey. G. Moore, said he would ride the second favourite. Heirloom, in next Saturday’s £14.500 Doomben Ten Thousand. In other moves on the Doomben double. Pharmacy winner of the Tattersall’s Cup, firmed from a three-figure Quote to equal favourite for the Doomben Cup with Prince Ming.
Heirloom was unlucky when second to Rashlore in yesterday’s W. J. Healy Stakes at Eaele Farm. Before that run Heirloom had been favourite for the Ten Thousand but after Rashlore’s runaway win he displaced Heirloom as favourite.
