BROMLEY C.W.I. ANNIVERSARY
The Bromley Country Women’s Institute celebrated its seventh anniversary recently. Candles on the cake were lit by the president of the Canterbury Federation (Mrs L. M. Kellaway). Trophies presented to competition winners for the year were:—Streeter Cup (gardening), Mrs G. Teale; Whiting Cup (handwork), and Righton Cup (most entries), Mrs R. Booth; Booth Cup (cooking), Mrs 0. Honiwell. The arts and crafts group displayed articles made during the year. Entertainment included recitations by Mrs O. Honiwell, and a sketch by members.
