Gained Degree In Hawaii
Miss Lois Tucker of Christchurch, recently completed her master of science degree in zoology at the University of Hawaii. Miss Tucker has been studying for 18 months at the university on an East-West Centre scholarship. The EastWest Centre is an educational institution established by the American Congress in co-operation with the University of Hawaii to promote mutual understanding among the people of Asia, the Pacific, and the United States.
Miss Tucker, who graduated from the University of Canterbury with a B.Sc. degree, will spend the next three months at universities in the United States. She will return to New Zealand at the end of the year.
