RECORD RUN REMEMBERED.—A plaque commemorating the world record times for 880 yards and 800 metres established by P. G. Snell in a race at Lancaster Park in February, 1962, was unveiled at Lancaster Park yesterday. The plaque was presented to the Victory Park Board by the Christchurch Lions’ Club, Snell is shown (left) with Mr D. Turner, president of the club, and Mr C. F. Collins, deputy-chairman of the board.
