Annual Trophies Awarded
Mrs W. Newton won the trophy for most points in cut Sower classes and the Montgomery Cup for most points in all sections for the year in competitions held by the Little River Garden Club. Other winners for the year were:—Class A decorative section. Mrs B. Carswell; Class B, Mrs G. Thompson; novice class, Mrs C. Barclay. Mrs M. Willis presided at the annual meeting and Miss M. Watling (Christchurch) gave a demonstration on floral arrangements. The financial statement showed a satisfactory credit balance. Officers elected were:— President, Mrs A. Birdiing: vice-presidents, Mesdames M. Willis and L. Mcßae: secretary, Mrs B. Carswell; treasurer, Mrs H. Lankow: committee, Mesdames R. Lee, J. Evans, E. Hunt R. Webb, W. Newton and G. Thompson.
