tion of the fact that the LU S headquarters are in a Communist country:. the silence of the I.U.S. when Russian armed forces crushed the Hungarian uprising: the loud I.U.S. criticism of the AngloFrench attack on Suez; the I.U.S. attacks on N.A.T.0., 5.E.A.T.0., and other Western defence arrangements but complete silence on Communist defence arrangements such as the Warsaw Pact Mr Steadman cannot get away with the ridiculous statement that the • I.U.S. is not a Com-munist-front organisation. I* is and a very useful ore There is no question at ah that some of its members are merely radicals and left-wing-ers, but there is also no doubt that the bulk of the articulate members are from Communist countries and that the I.U.S. controlling body is Commun-ist-directed.—Yours,- etc., EX-STUDENT. Wellington, June 28.
