Palmer May Play
(N.Z.PA.-Reuter— Copyright) CLEVELAND, June 26. Arnold Palmer said yesterday that he might play in the British Open golf championship.
The 1961 and 1962 title* holder had withdrawn because a previous commitment would prevent him arriving at St Andrew’s in time to practice. But he told reporters today he had now been advised that the course would be open for practice on the day before the Open begins, on July 8. “I have made plans for that week which would prevent me from playing in Britain, but I’ll see if those plans can be changed.”
