Savings Bank Authorised
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) WELLINGTON, June 25. An Order-in-Council authorising the establishment of the South Canterbury Savings Bank has now been signed. The bank will have its head office in Timaru: Sir Basil Arthur, M.P., and Messrs J. M. Bishop, N. S. Brown, A. H. Carlton, G. S. Raymond, C. E; Thomson and T. A. Wilson have been invited to become trustees. The appointment of another trustee has been deferred until the bank’s area of operations has been decided.
