“Not Issue In France” (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17: New Zealand had taken j every opportunity to protest j to France at the proposed nuclear testing in the Pacific, the Prime Minister (Mr Holyoake) told Mr W. W. Freer (Opposition, Mount Albert) , in Parliament today. The opposition within France was directed against a French nuclear striking force, not against the proposed testing by France. The proposed testing in the Pacific had never been a public issue of any magnitude in France, Mr Holyoake said.
