HUNGARY’S HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT, Budapest, photographed at night. The buildings were designed by the Hungarian architect, Imre Steindl, and were erected between 1884 and 1904. They were modelled on the British Houses of Parliament, and the interior is decorated with murals and canvases by Hungarian painters of the late nineteenth century. The cupola is sometimes used for State receptions.
