£2.5m For New Naval Wharf
(N.Z. Press- Association! AUCKLAND, June 18. Preliminary designs and estimates prepared by the Ministry of Works suggest that a new Calliope wharf at Devonport naval base will cost £2.5 million. The new wharf is necesary as the present wharf is very old, costly to maintain, and inadequate for berthing modern naval ships.
