First To Try Export Wine

An export wine-tasting panel with four producers and two Government representatives has been appointed to control the quality of any wine that may be exported from New Zealand, the president of the Viticultural Association of New Zealand (Mr G. Mazuran) said in his annual report. He said the panel will first approve the quality before an export licence is given. Two members of the industry have been appointed to the committee of the Standards Institute to try and design appropriate bottles for each wine, said Mr Mazuran.
