Rise Of 38 p.c. To £379,809 (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 28. United Empire. Box Company, Ltd., manufacturers of cardboard boxes, cartons, wallpaper, plastics and paper converters, Auckland, increased its net profit £105,084 or 38 per cent to £379,809 in the year to March 31. The profit was reached after allowing for minority interests. This was after £287,652 (£205,050 last year) was provided for’depreciation and £398,242 (£303,083) for taxation. Directors have recommended payment of a steady 10 per cent ordinary dividend which will require £188,977.
Balllns Industries.—Ballins Industries, Ltd., Christchurch, wine and ajplrit merchants and. batel owners, -has declared a steady interim dividend of 3 ■per cent on ordinary share capita), ex dividend July 20 and payable July 31.
