Men’s Basketball Colts Squad Selected
The inclusion of J. Stead 'University B) in the Canterbury men’s basketball under 19 training squad by the selector-coach <Mr £. S. Thomson) was a surprise. Already this season Stead has represented Canterbuy A and Canterbury B. and appears likely to gain the distinction of playing in all Canterbury's representative teams in the one season. The Canterbury colts’ side tn play in the regional tournament at Timaru on Saturday, June 13, will be chosen from the following squad:— J. Edyvean (Linwood H.S.), D. Rattray (St. Andrew s Coll ), T. Burrows (8.H.5.), G. Glackin (8.H.5.), G. Orchard (8.H.5.), A. Hounsell (8.H.5.), S. Hunt (Christ’s Coll.), G. Andrew (Christ’s Coll.). K. Milligan (H. 5.0.8. G. Cameron (H. 5.0.8. P Bell (H. 5.0.8 .). G Nock (University), A. Ryde (YMC A), J. Stead (University).
Practice will commence on Friday, May 29, at 5 p m., in the Christchurch Boys’ High School gymnasium. —Advt.
