AUCKLAND, May 27.
A house in Valley road. Glen Eden, has been reduced to a shell by vandals only 18 months after it was bought for £2500. All the doors and windows have been removed, together with most of their frames, and looters have stolen parts of the outer walls and roof. The Glen Eden Borough Council bought the house when the land it stood on was toned a domain.
The building inspector. Mr R. A. Ward, said the damage to the house had devalued it until it was worth nothing He said the best offer he had received was from a contractor who said he would demolish the house, clear the section and remove all rubbish for £2O.
