Russian Debt To U.N.
Concern at the failure of the Soviet Union to pay levies imposed on members of the United Nations waS expressed in a resolution carried by the council of the Christchurch branch of the United Nations Association of New Zealand.
The following resolution was supplied after the meetting;. “That this branch council requests the Dominion council to express to the Russian Legation in Wellington the concern of the United Nations Association of New Zealand that the Soviet Union’s financial difficulties with the United Nations could lead to the break-up of the world organisation.”
