Greasy wool sold in Christchurch in the season Just completed was worth £132232,509 6s 2d, according to figures released by the Christchurch Wool brokers’ Association.

It was the centre’s biggest cheque since the 1950-51 boom, when twothirds of the quantity of wool sold in the 1963-64 season was worth £15,738,854 Os Bd. It was more than £2.25m. greater than in. the 1962-63 season.

With greasy wool worth £6,689,649 sold at Timaru, nearly £2om. of wool has been sold at auction in the province in the recent season. Both Dunedin and Invercargill have reported cheques of slightly more

In the boom season of 1950-51, 36.802,4891 b Of wool in 116,608 bales was sold at an average of 102.637 d per lb and £134 19s 5d a bale for £15,738,854 0s Bd.
