Sixty Days’ Detention
Private Rangi Kake, of the Ist Battalion depot, Burnham, was given 60 days’ detention by a court-martial at Burnham Military Camp yesterday. He was charged with being absent without leave for 82 days from January 23 to April 15.
President of the Court was Major R. de la Cour and the other members were Captain R. A. Baigent and Lieutenant P. A. Callaway. Lieutenant L. A. Dawes prosecuted, and Kake was defended by Lieutenant B. J. Marshall. The judge advocate was Major G. C. C. Sandston.
