OLYMPIC PROTEST
13 Threaten Boycott (N.Z P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) CAIRO, May 21. Thirteen Arab countries voted yesterday to boycott the Olympic Games in Tokyo unless the International Olympic Committee hanged its stand and allowed Indonesia to compete, Associated Press reported. The decision was taken in a unanimous vote at a session of the Arab League which also resolved to urge all African, Asian, South American and “other friendly nations” to refuse to compete in the Olympics if Indonesia was not admitted. The Olympic Committee barred Indonesia on the grounds that it refused to let Israel take part in the Asian Games in Djakarta.
