ANZAC DAY CHANGE
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, May 19. Members of the Palmerston North branch of the Returned Services’ Association have voted overwhelmingly in favour Of a change in the observance of Anzac Day reported the president (Mr R. L. Bond) to the annual meeting last night Of a total of 1177 who voted, 345 wished to retain Anzac Day in its present form and 832 wanted a change. A large majority, 667, were in favour of having services as on a Sunday in the morning, and having a public holiday in the afternoon.
