Eavesdropping Allegation (N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) SALISBURY, May 19. Sir Roy Welensky refused to comment last night on an allegation of “official eavesdropping” made by a London firm of solicitors following the publication of excerpts of his new book “Welensky’s 4000 Days,” The chairman of the Southern Rhodesian Bar Council. (Mr B. Goldin, Q.C.) said that Southern Rhodesian lawyers had no reason to suspect the police of using hidden microphones or other secret means to eavesdrop on their private conversations with clients in gaol.
