To Ride In Noumea
"The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, May 17.
The Takanini jockey, R. J. Sutherland, will leave Auckland tomorrow for Noumea. He has a contract to ride for Mr C. de Rois for six months. Sutherland, who is about 7-8, has not ridden since he was injured in a car accident a couple of months ago.
He has received his clearance and will be able to ride in New Caledonia immediately. Another Auckland jockey, A M. Dulieu, will also go to New Caledonia later this month. He too is under contract to Mr de Rois to ride for six months.
