THE UNITED STATES NAVY’S NEWEST NUCLEAR SUBMARINE, the Nathanael Greene, being launched at the Portsmouth (Maine) naval shipyard last week. The launching was part of a triple ceremony, as on the same day another nuclear submarine, the John Adams, was commissioned, and the keel was laid for a third nuclear submarine, to be known as the Grayling.
