Jet Boat To Altar
Heavy rain in the back country almost caused the wedding plans of a young man from Mount Algidus Station, in the Rakaia Gorge, to be postponed.
Because the Wilberforce river was impassable by conventional means, the bridegroom was rescued by jet boat and will be married today as scheduled.
Mount Algidus Station has become known in recent months by the book, “A River Rules My Life,” by Mona Anderson.
