Hockey Test: Sept. 12
Three test matches will be played the Indian Olvmpic hockey team which will tour New Zealand in August and September this year. The tests will be played at Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington. The following itinerary Is subject to confirmation being received trom the associations asked to stage the matches. The itinerary is:— Saturday. August 22. v. NEW ZEALAND (first test) at Auckland: August 24, v. Whangarei at Whangarei; August 27, v. Bay of Plenty at Tauranga; August 29. v. Waikato at Hamilton. September 1, v. Hawke's Bay at Napier; September 3. v. Wairarapa at Masterton: September 5. v. Taranaki at New Plymouth; September 7. v. Wanganui at Wanganui; September 9. v. Maadi Cup Districts al Nelson: September 12. v. NEW ZEALAND (secend test) at Christchurch; September 14. v Otago at Dunedin; September 14. v. Southern Minors at Ashbur ton; September 19. v. NEW ZEALAND (third test) at Wellington. Test Positive (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 15. The Taranaki District Committee will conduct an inquiry at New Plymouth on May 29 into a positive urine test returned by Banditti after he bad won the Pukekura Trial Stakes at the Taranaki Jockey Club's meeting at New Plymouth In March.
