LAKE SHORE ADVANCED
The shore-line of Lake Rotorua has advanced into the lake by more than 100 vards in some places since 1912. from what Mr N. McConochie. of Glenhope. has told the senior ranger of the Nelson Lakes National Park (Mr G. Lyon). Recently, Mr McConochie visited the lake with Mr Lyon and marked out the line of the lake-shore at the mouth of the Sabine river as he remembered it in 1912, when he first came to know the area. From the line drawn by Mr McConochie, there had been a build-up of more than 100 yards in some places.
