Violence On TV
Sir, —What rubbish some of your correspondents write to your columns. The recent letter by “Disturbed” is one in point. A television set has not to be kept on all night; there is an on-off switch on all sets, and although I generally switch off my set when westerns, etc., are on I realise that the New Zealand viewing public contain many lovers of such films, and as they pay their just dues, they are entitled to see their pet Also > 1 note that the N.Z.B.C. endeavour to put this type of film on late in the programme. Truly, some people are very selfish and never satisfied.—Yours, etc. LIVE AND LET LIVE May 15, 1964.
