BURSARIES IN MUSIC
Clarinettist And ’Cellist (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 11. The New Zealand Broadcasting Corporation has awarded “the first two bursaries under the new overseas bursary scheme for the members of' the N.Z.B.C. Symphony Orchestra.
The' bursaries have been awarded to Mr Farquhar Wilkinson, the orchestra's principal 'cellist, and Mr Ronald Weatherburn, a clarinettist in the orchestra. The bursaries are tenable for up to six months and will allow both musicians to receive advanced training overseas.
