Conscription In Cuba
(N.Z.P-A.-Reuter— Copyright) HAVANA, March 30. Compulsory military service started in Cuba today as thousands of youths between 17 and 21 reported at recruiting centres all over the country. The conscripts will serve for two and a half years, but the term can be extended to three years at the discretion of the Government Part of their service will be spent working on farms and doing . other development and construction work.
