MAGISTRATE’S COURT Motor-Cyclist Fined £l5 For Dangerous Driving

While being chased at high spieed by a patrol car a motorcyclist went over the raised railway crossing in Wroxton terrace at 45 to 50 miles an hour. The machine left the ground, and Traffic Officer A. Nt Warren told Mr E. S. J. Cirutchley, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday that he expected he would have to pick up the pieces. Robert Allan Strachan, a r ailways traffic assistant, was fined £l5 on a charge of driving at a speed which might have been dangerous, and his . diriver’s licence was cancelled for two years. He was fined £1 10s for exceeding 30 miles an hour without a safejty helmet and £1 10s for not displaying L plates. Strachan did not appear. At 7.40 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, he saw a motorcyclist pass a car in Fendalton road at about 40 miles an hour, Traffic Officer Warren said.
