Will Not Work On Anzac Day
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 1.
A special meeting this morning of the Wellington Motion Picture Projectionists’ Union decided they would not be available to work on Anzac Day or night in Wellington, Petone, or the Hutt Valley. The union’s president (Mr L. E. Jefferies), said the decision did not extend to outlying districts. In places like Palmerston North, Wanganui and Napier, members could make up their own minds whether they wanted to work or not, according to local conditions.
