L’AVENIR FIRST ON THE NEW SUPWAY AT WESTPORT.—PooIed resources of Westport fishermen built this slipway. The electrically-powered winch used to haul up the fishing boats is part of the equipment of the former paddle steamer Mana. Trips to Greymouth for repairs and overhaul wiU no longer be necessary.
