New City In Auckland
(N.Z. Press Association? AUCKLAND, April 1. The Local Government Commission has approved an application by the Manukau county and the boroughs of Papatoetoe and Manurewa to form a South Auckland City. The districts of Manukau, Papatoetoe and Manurewa will now be abolished, their councils dissolved, and the area constituted a city. The new city —unnamed will have an initial population of 68,000.
