Three New Records At Technical Girls’ Sports

Three new records were set at the Christchurch Technical High School girls’ athletic sports. In the relay, Purple House (N. Anderson, V. Tuuta, C. Anderson and K. Smith) set a new time of 57.1 for the 440 yards. Two new distances were recorded in non-cham-pionship events:. J. McEntee drove the hockey ball 277 ft 4in and C. Bowler threw the cricket ball 165 ft 7iin. The senior champion, N. Anderson, a sister of Mrs L. Wilson, came very close to the three sprint records. The champions were:—Senior: N.
