Timaru Girl Wins Flight
(N.Z. Press Association). HAMILTON, March 20. Miss Kathrine Gibson, of Timaru, has won the T.E.A.L. travel award in a contest for members of Country Girls’ clubs. ■ . This is her second success in the last few weeks. She is “Miss South Canterbury” and will compete in the finals of- the “Miss New Zealand” contest. ■ In 1961 Miss Gibson , won the “Miss Wool Princess” title at the age of 16. The travel contest, the finals- of which were held in Hamilton yesterday in conjunction with the golden fleece promotion, has a trip by air to Tahiti as a prize.
