STENCH AT ARANUI
More Details Awaited . The Christchurch Drainage Board is waiting further information before it can begin an investigation into a reported smell from the new plant at Aranui. At a meeting of the board on Tuesday a letter was received from a resident complaining about the smell, which was said to be “in the nature of a public nuisance.” The board’s chemist, Mr A. E. Lambden, said that the board would reply to the complainant seeking more specific details, and that an investigation would then he held.
