£3000 For Olympics
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 17. The New Zealand Olympic and British Empire Games Association had been allocated a further £3OOO from Golden Kiwi lottery funds, the president (Mr H. L Austad) told the annual meeting of the association tonight. He said the money brought the association’s finances available for the Tokyo Olympics to £ll,OOO. This meant that 20 “A” category competitors could be selected instead of 14.
